About Us

Anjali Sareen, Esq. is a data privacy and commercial transactions attorney with over ten years of experience, licensed in three states (CA, NY, and FL), with a background in intellectual property and certified with the CIPP/US and CIPP/E data privacy credentials. She is also a Certified Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP) with the IAPP. Anjali also believes strongly in living life first – valuing experiences – and practicing law in conjunction with that ideal. She went to both undergrad and law school at NYU and started her law practice in New York City.

In her private practice, Anjali has handled all aspects of legal counseling for both commercial and non-profit organizations on an outside general counsel basis in her primary areas of commercial transactions, data privacy, and IP. Working with everyone from solo entrepreneurs to Fortune 500 companies, Anjali’s work specializes in the area of helping organizations handle their legal needs seamlessly, so they can better focus on the goals of their work. This has meant that Anjali has counseled on everything from data privacy compliance to highly complex commercial deals to simple IP advice, with a special range of experience in all different kinds of tech-related commercial contracts (more on that below).

Anjali believes practicing law (and life in general) – and the experience of working with a lawyer – should be fun and enjoyable. You’ll catch her on Zoom connecting with you about your favorite type of music or the most interesting experience you recently had, just as much as you’ll connect with her on the phone advising your business on how it should handle data subject privacy and security. When she opened her own law practice in 2016, she did it so she could travel full-time with her pup, connecting with humans everywhere, and she still considers it one of her most beloved and valued experiences in life.

Currently, Anjali splits her time between her homes in Astoria, NY, Orlando, FL, and La Fortuna, Costa Rica. In her spare time, Anjali loves to hangout with her husband J.R. (a chiropractor and fellow traveler) and she is an advanced yogi and practices handbalancing and contortion as her favorite ways to stay fit. She’s also a dedicated vegan and animal rights activist and loves to spend time scouring the web for the best raw vegan recipes – especially desserts!
